Ready to make the booking?

• There are 3 possibilities for booking your stay:

1. Make a request directly via email = info@refugeslacdemele.com with informations about dates and cabin you want (we will reply within 24 hours). To reserve, we require complete payment for amont lower than 500 $ and  50% deposit payable by interac payment for amounts over $ 500 (balance must be paid no more than 30 days before the date of arrival)
2. If you have a PRESTIGE BOX, make a request by email  and write dates and cabin that interest you, and precise as well, the Prestige box number (we will reply within 24 hours)
3. Via Airbnb site (you must register) – You should know that the Airbnb site charges booking fees of around 10 to 12%.

cleaning i done by you and the refuge returned in good condition. Any cleaning or damage will be charged.

What you need to know:

Our outdoor center of Les refuges du lac Démélé has a vocation to help you discover nature in all it has more real … We are located in a fairly remote location for outdoor enthusiasts and those who want to discover new experiences. The shelters respect a great distance one from another, in the wild nature, with an independent living philosophy. The access of the shelters is done by forest trails (from our parking). Carts in summer and snowslide in winter are provided for carrying your luggage or we can bring your luggage with our four wheels if you want (reservation is necessary $).

We aim to exploit our environment and forest for environmental purposes. We must respect this nature. Do not mark your path, bring back your waste and be careful with the fire.

The access:

In summer and Automn :

• No Access by car (10 to 20 minutes walking)
• There is a parking down the path, one up the road or you have to use the trails branching for access to tree houses and shelters.
• A forest path join all shelters and treehouses .
• We provide carts or snowslides to transport your luggage to the shelter.
• It is possible to carry your luggage by 4 Wheel if you let us know in advance (25$ one way – 40 $ two ways).

Winter :

• the winter parking is situated just at the entry. For the 2 tree houses and 2 shelters, walk up to the cabin from the winter parking (between 20 and 45 min). We provide sleds to allow you to carry your luggage. Be careful, the coast can be long enough to climb! It is possible to have your luggage transported by 4 wheels on reservation ($ 25 one way / $ 40 round trip) –

The accommodations are 4 seasons and well equipped, it is ready to camp; and it is rustic …! :

• There is no running water in all shelters (we provide 20 litters cans of waters
• Toilets are outside, just near the cabin.
• Rustic showers (inside shower for beaver Shelter and Viking shelter / outside shower for tree cabins in summer only)
• There is solar power in all shelters – no 110 V to charge your cell, you need to bring your own battery.
• Specifically for Viking, we offer fridge and 110 V  (no 110V in winter between november and april)
• Heating works exclusively with wood. wood is provided in winter. (for outside fire, you need to buy a bag of wood)

Dogs are welcome in some cabins (cabin from Above et Beaver Shelter) – Additionnel fee for each dog : 25 $ (for the stay)

Booking agreement

What you need to bring:

• You need to bring bedding (Queen fitted sheet, blankets or sleeping bags and pillowcases), towels and dish cloths (It is possible to rent sleeping bags for people who are coming from far away or are not equipped)
• It is important to bring a flashlight and a headlamp for travel at night or read quietly in bed;
• Candles, matches
• a Cooler to bring your own food.
• a battery to charge your cellular

What we provide:

• Mattresses and pillows
• The gas stove for cooking (we provide propane)
• Kitchen utensils, pots, pans, coffee machine (Bodum), plates, etc…
• water containers of 20 liters ( water drinking)
• biological detergent
• Basic cleaning kit (brush, sponge, 1 dish cloth).
• canoes, paddles board, kayacks, pedalos and life jackets/paddles (at the lake)

Rental

• rustic shower  systeme by pump ($ 10 for your stay)
• Snowshoes in winter ($ 10 for your stay)

Booking conditions at Refuges Lac Demele :

Airbnb reservation are made under the conditions of the Airbnb reservations policy.

Direct booking (Interac payment with your bank), with a 50% deposit for booking. cancellation or modification of date is possible up to 30 days prior to arrival (administration fee of 10%) – see our cancel policies

. The payment of the balance will be paid 30 days before your arrival. Deposit lost if canceled after 30 days.

Reservation with a prestige package: send an email with your choice of date and number of the prestige package (same conditions as direct reservation).

2 nights minimum on weekends and during school holidays – 3 nights on weekend if holliday day is monday pr friday.

In case of emergency, you may change your date. (not during week-end or hollidays, only during week) . contact us for more details.

• The Viking Shelter :

  • Prices : 175 $+ tax each night on the week-end (friday-saturday-sunday) / 150 $ each night + tax  on week  for up to 2 people (10$ additional for the 3 th and 4th person). for Summer and winter Holiday, the rates are 175 $ + tax all the week (2 nights minimum)

  • You can approach the trail by car in summer. You park the car and walk 5 minutes. (200 meters from the park from above)
  • In winter, you need to park to Winter Parking. (500 km from the downstairs parking – 15 minutes walk ).

• The lake cabine :

  • Prices :150 $ each night + tax on the week-end (friday-saturday-sunday) –  135$ each night + tax  on week – for up to 2 people (10$ additional for the 3th and 4th person). In Summer and winter Holiday, the rates are 150 $ + tax – (2 nights minimum ) 

  • You can approach the trail by car in summer, you park the car and walk 15 minutes. (500 meters from the park from above).
  • In winter, you need to park to Winter Parking. (1.5 km from the downstairs parking – 30-35 minutes walk ).

• The cabin from above: 

  • Prices : 150 $ + tax each night on the week-end (friday-saturday-sunday) –  135$ each night + tax  on week – for up to 2 people (10$ additional for the 3th and 4th person). In Summer and winter Holiday, the rates are 150 $ + tax – (2 nights minimum )

  • You can approach the trail by car in summer, you park the car and walk 15 minutes. (500 meters from the park from above).
  • In winter, you need to park to Winter Parking. (750 m from the downstairs parking – 20-25 minutes walk ).

• The beaver shelter: 150 $ each night + tax on the week-end (friday-saturday-sunday) –  135$ each night + tax  on week – for up to 2 people (10$ additional for the 3th and 4th person). In Summer and winter Holiday, the rates are 150 $ + tax – (2 nights minimum ) 

  • You can approach the trail by car in summer, you park the car and walk 20-25 minutes (750 meters from the park from above).
  • In winter, you need to park to Winter Parking. (1.8 from the downstairs parking – 35-45 minutes walk )
